Introducing: Jackson Tyler

When I first moved to Colorado Springs in 2005 I was blessed to meet Nicole and Kris soon thereafter. I remember when James and I went to Denver on a double date with them and had the best time. They are so laid back, honest, and a ton of fun. I knew these two would be together forever.

Kris and Nicole will always hold a special place in my heart. We've been through a lot together and the Lord has knit us closely as friends. We've compiled a good list of memories over the past four years...theMILL, rainy 4th of July celebrations in the car, weddings, BBQs, a camping trip in the Sahara Desert where we felt like the Israelites- trapped with no where to go- heat that overwhelmed us like a wool sweater in July...and now the sweet blessing of a little baby. His name is Jackson.

Kris and Nicole have been married for over 3 years now and just recently welcomed this sweet baby boy into their lives. It was a long time of waiting and trusting the Lord for this little one- they are so excited that he's finally here...and so are we. Welcome Jackson!

Introducing: Taysen Michelle 6.4.09

A few months ago my friend Heather asked me if I'd take newborn pictures of her sweet baby girl- Taysen Michelle. I was honored and thrilled to do it! There's something so sweet and wonderful about a new baby...a new life.

When I arrived at the home of Chris and Heather to photograph Taysen I felt anxious and excited...not sure what to expect for newborn photos. Well- I was so blessed by this wonderful family! Chris and Heather are natural parents and baby Tay was sweet as can be. I instantly felt at home...

Enjoy every minute of this little one...there's nothing like a new baby!

Chris & Becky- Engagement

Working at Compassion International has been an incredible blessing. One of the amazing things about Compassion is the work they do to release children from poverty in Jesus' name. I'm honored to be part of an organzation like that!

But I must say that working at Compassion gives the opportunity to meet incredible people. I met Chris and Becky through my job in communications. They are both communication gurus and are very good at it. Oh...did I mention they're incredible?

Chris and Becky got engaged not long after I started working at Compassion. It has been so fun hearing about all their wedding plans and dreams. They truly are made for one another. I mentioned to Becky that I was getting started in photography which opened up the door for me to do their engagement photos.

I was pretty nervous to do their pictures because I'd never done engagement photos before, but knowing the easy going nature of both Chris and Becky I knew I had nothing to worry about. They were so much fun to hang out with- the nerves disappeared the minute I met up with them. And boy are they photogenic!! Seriously...they couldn't take a bad picture if they tried.

May the Lord bless you Chris and Becky as you start your marriage in August. I know you'll walk each day together beautifully! Congratulations!
